SnapVitals — Support

Last updated: April 28, 2026

SnapVitals is a blood pressure logging app for iPhone. Scan a monitor screen or enter readings by hand, then review your trends over time. Below you'll find how to report a problem, answers to common questions, and how to reach us.

Reporting an issue

The fastest way to report a problem is from inside the app:

  1. Open Settings → Send feedback
  2. Describe what you saw, optionally attach photos and a voice note
  3. Submit — the app automatically attaches your iOS version, device model, and app build to help us reproduce the issue

If you can't open the app, email us using the address at the bottom of this page and include your iPhone model, iOS version, and the SnapVitals version (visible at Settings → About SnapVitals when you can launch the app).

Common questions

Is SnapVitals a medical device?

No. SnapVitals is a consumer wellness tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Always consult your doctor for medical decisions.

Where are my readings stored?

On your iPhone. Readings, photos, and family profiles do not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export them. SnapVitals does not require an account.

The scan misread my reading. What do I do?

Tap the value on the result screen to correct it before saving. Automatic recognition can be affected by glare, low light, or unusual monitor models — please verify every scanned value against your monitor before saving.

How do I export or back up my data?

Open Settings → Export readings to share readings as a PDF or CSV file. Open Settings → Backup & restore to create a complete backup file. In both cases iOS will show a Share Sheet where you can save the file (Files, iCloud Drive) or send it (email, AirDrop, Messages, or any other share destination).

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual readings or family profiles directly in the app. To remove all on-device data, uninstall SnapVitals from your iPhone. If you had Sync to iCloud enabled, copies remain in your private iCloud database under your Apple ID — open iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → SnapVitals to remove them. To request deletion of any feedback content you previously submitted, email us using the address at the bottom of this page.

Does SnapVitals work without internet?

Yes. Scanning, manual entry, history, trends, and exports all work fully offline. An internet connection is needed only when you submit feedback or when Sync to iCloud is on (so changes can mirror to your iCloud account).

What are the anonymous analytics events you mention in the Privacy Policy?

To improve the app, we record events such as "app opened" or "scan attempted" along with a randomly generated anonymous device identifier and your iOS / app version. These events do not contain your name, email, location, blood pressure values, photos, or any health data — only counts of which app features get used. They are sent only to our own servers and are not shared with any third party. See the Privacy Policy §4 for retention details.

What blood pressure categories does the app use?

SnapVitals categorizes readings using the 2025 ACC/AHA Guideline for the Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults. These ranges are general references and are not a substitute for your clinician's individualized targets.

When should I contact my doctor?

If your readings remain outside your usual range, or if you experience symptoms such as dizziness, persistent headache, chest discomfort, blurred vision, or weakness. If your systolic reading is 180 mmHg or higher, or your diastolic reading is 120 mmHg or higher, wait five minutes and measure again; if still this high, contact your doctor immediately. Call 911 if you also have chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness, vision changes, or trouble speaking.
